Join us for an “AgVenture" Farm Tour of Coachella Valley's abundant agricultural industry. We will take you to the field to meet and talk with farmers, learn about what it takes to grow a safe and healthy food supply and why agriculture is vital to our country’s national security. This tour is for anyone who lives and cares about Coachella Valley and anyone who likes to eat! Guests will also get to take home farm fresh fruits and vegetables!

The event is organized by California Women for Agriculture, Coachella Valley Chapter, a non-profit educational organization.

Our Tour Guide is Ellen Way

Ellen is the owner of Sanders Family Almond Ranch, a family farming operation in Stanislaus County. Her husband Mike is owner of Prime Time International, a fresh produce farming and marketing company. She started her career in the produce industry with Sun World International here in Coachella in 1990 and went on to work for Assemblyman Jim Battin as his Agriculture Specialist.

Ellen is Past State President of California Women for Agriculture (CWA) and is Co-President of our local chapter. She has also served on the board of Western Growers and is on the Board of Riverside County Farm Bureau.

Ellen is passionate about agriculture and loves to educate people about food and farming.
